Concept:
In 2009, many Asian countries were hit by natural disasters, which caused massive damage to cities and towns, affecting the
lives of millions of people. Following the unfortunate events, individual organizations created separate events to cater to
charities for their respective countries, but what if we combined our efforts as one Asian/Pacific Islander American front?
Would we not create a greater impact?
Mission:
To bring together Asian/Pacific Islander American organizations to promote community service and events.
Event:
SKISSORS has brought together 10 Asian/Pacific Islander American organizations together to create one mixer. The purpose of this
event is to bring awareness to the Asian/Pacific Islander American organizations in Houston and to bring awareness of community
events available to young professionals in Houston.
In our collaborative effort, we hope to bring organizations together to create a greater impact in our community and culture.
Come out to support Houston’s Asian/Pacific Islander American organizations and enjoy free food and entertainment!
