NAAAP–Houston’s Charity Date Auction brought together a stellar collection of young professional auctionees with proceeds benefiting our Annual College Scholarship Program. For the past 5 years, NAAAP Houston has been pleased to be able to award scholarship amounts ranging from $500 to $1000 to worthy graduating high school seniors in the Greater Houston area. Last year in 2007, over 350 people showed up the Charity Auction that raised $5000 towards the scholarship. This year in 2008, thanks to RogueScene Houston LLC, generous volunteers, and dedicated individuals, NAAAP Houston is pleased to be able to offer three (3) individual $1000 scholarships.
All parts of this application must be completed and postmarked by April 12, 2008. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Submitted applications become the property of the National Association of Asian American Professionals – Houston, Inc. and will not be returned to the applicant.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, applicant must be a current high school senior of Asian and/or Pacific descent, enrolled in a high school within the greater Houston Metropolitan area, and expecting to graduate in the year 2008. The Greater Houston Metropolitan area includes any student residing or attending high school in the following counties: Harris, Fort Bend, Waller, Chambers, Liberty, and Montgomery.
